Recently, the LA Times Image section suggested that the documentary, Grey Gardens, was one of the films that had a huge influence on fashion. At the time, I thought they were high, but judging by what Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange wore to the Golden Globes, I stand corrected.
Lange might also have been influenced by Ray, the Jamie Foxx vehicle.
The pair are starring as big and little Edie in the HBO version of Grey Gardens, for reasons unknown. Cynthia Littleton, at Variety, loves this, but Towle Road's readers disagree. Me? I'm with the gays.
