Eartha Kitt, the seductive songstress and actress, is dead at 81. Her feline purr defined sensuality for a generation and her signature version of Santa Baby combined wit, materialism, and the promise of fleshy delights. The New York Times obituary does a good job of chronicling her life, loves and career, with only one error--she voiced Yzma in the animated film The Emperor's New Groove, not New School. Although who wouldn't want to graduate from the Eartha Kitt School with a degree in Applied Slinkology?
